Snow

We woke up Friday morning suprised to see that it had snowed... in November. So, this may look like a mere dusting to those of you who live where it really snows, but this is about as much as we get. Maybe this year there will be more since it started so early. Pull out the wool coats and the hot chocolate. Winter weather here we come!

This is Mike and Sadie getting ready to go to a pre-Thanksgiving dinner last night. It was so yummy... can't wait for the real thing!

Sadie Pearl.

She's the beginning of the middle of my love story.

And this little piece of beautiful is the main character of my love story.

I don't know how it gets better than this.

We love fall!

We only have one tree in our yard. It's perfect because we get our very own fall colors, but there aren't enough leaves to need raking!

Grammie & Papa came to visit over Veteran's Day weekend. Sadie didn't get any attention :) We went hiking at Hanging Rock, exploring in downtown Charlotte and nascaring (not really a word, in know) at the Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Sadie and Lola checking each other out. The Pearl is very interested in watching dogs and other kids play lately.

We went to Huntersville last week to visit Kristin and Will before the new baby came. Will was so sweet with Sadie, he'll be the best big brother to little Audrey.

Sadie learned a new skill last week. She taught her friend Abby how to do it too.

October Festivities

First we picked out our pumpkin.

Sadie's grandma was here on a visit and helped us out.
Then we carved it at the traditional carving party at the Grace's. Can you guess which one is ours?Sadie dressed up as a fairy with her two little friends at the play group Halloween party.
Fauna, Flora & Merryweather
At the ward Trunk or Treat, Sadie was a lady bug. (A warmer costume) Sadie & Luke
Our friends Emma, Elena, Will, Kristin & baby Audrey, who will make her presence November 14th. We can't wait!

Sadie's friend Emerson came over on Halloween to trick or treat in our neighborhood. He's not sure what he thinks of the little fairy girl.
Poor Sadie had to please her mommy with a costume change for the picture. Daddy rewarded her with some candy.
