Easter

These happy kids sure enjoyed Easter. The highlight for Sadie was singing in sacrament meeting with the other primary children for the first time. When she got home from church she enjoyed the surprises the Easter bunny left for her, while Rowan enjoyed his nap.

We had some friends over for dinner. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

The kids were so cute making up games and running in the yard. Sadie even convinced her little crush Carson to kiss her. She was Snow White and would fall down dead and tell him to come kiss her so she would wake up. It worked! That sneaky girl :) To my credit, I was inside and not available to enforce the "we kiss family, we hug friends" rule.
 Everyone brought yummy food.

 Happy Easter!

Spring Flowers

My first spring in Winston-Salem, Enda from work took me for a drive to see the beautiful spring blossoms. Ever since, our family goes for an annual walk on Runny Meade. This street is one of my favorite things about Winston. The houses are gorgeous and there is a park in the median with beautiful landscaping. I love to run, drive, walk it any chance I get.Sadie enjoyed posing and we enjoyed snapping pictures of her. Hopefully the home owners didn't mind.

9 months

At 9 months Rowan continues to be a perfect baby. He is a professional army crawler. Eating puffs keeps him busy. He is very snuggly. He gives "hugs" by laying his head on the people he loves. And we love him more than anything!

March

The Bonks came to NC twice this month. We met up with them and Sarah and Wilder at the life and science museum. These two friends were so cute, holding hands everywhere they went.We celebrated my 29th birthday as a family. Last year in my twenties! I'm glad I get to spend it with these cuties :)I got a bike for my birthday and we went for what I hope was the first of many family bike rides.Sadie is really into learning her letters. She is getting really good at sounds and writing.Sadie has been enjoying afternoon playdates with Abby. Dress ups is still a favorite activity.Kids morning out was at Salem Gymnastics.
I love teaching these little dancers. I'm not sure whether Sadie likes dance or just the excuse to wear her tutu dress.

Back track: January

Here is Rowan at 7 months. Love that smile!
He is sporting this cute onesie our friend Laurie made. At about 4 months Rowan started to refuse the bottle. I decided to try a sippy cup and thought it was going to work. Nope! Haven't had much luck since this first try. He looks cute though, pink bib and all. That's what happens when you have a girl first. Sorry bud.Sadie made mac & cheese, then decided she would eat it right out of the bowl. Funny girl.Row and Snow in their scrubs. Daddy & Mommy (respectively) mini-me.Sibling fun. I just love when these two play together. 3 yrs difference = no problem!

February

February was a month of unpredictable weather and health, but we still managed to have lots of fun!Rowan's first snow.Sadie loves date night, especially when it involves movies, popcorn & friends.Suzi got the cutest pictures of Sadie and Abby modeling their dress ups.Rowan enjoys naps with his Daddy. We got to go to a Wake Forest basketball game. Sadie's favorite part was the popcorn. I guess that was probably Mike's favorite part too, since he didn't enjoy watching Wake play poorly. He made us leave early, which was okay because Rowan wasn't feeling very well. Rowan and I were sick on Valentine's Day. We got to stay in our pajamas and relax. Sadie got to go to a playgroup party. We had fun making her valentines the day before. Since we were stuck at home with a virus, we got creative with our homemade valentines. Sadie loves cutting, gluing and is beginning to enjoy writing her letters. She got lots of practice writing her name.We went to the grocery store for a preschool field trip. Sadie's favorite part was touching the lobster. Rowan's favorite part was his nap.For their preschool Valentine's party, Sadie and her friends heart attacked their sunbeam teacher, Sister Noga, and made heart shaped pizzas. Here is Sadie with her valentine. She may not say it, but anyone who sees how she acts around Carson knows it. He is a good sport :)
