Wii love Sushi

Our friends Matt & Sarah had the fabulous idea of a Wii/sushi party. Brilliant! I am new to sushi, but I think I can finally say that I love it. The sushi tower had many varieties and maybe my favorite was the vegetarian with nothing but avocado and rice, but I still think that counts! And who doesn't love the Wii? We think its a blast, especially with a large group. My favorite game is tennis. Here are some pictures of the action:

Aloha!

Friday evening was our ward luau. A couple from Hawaii put the whole thing together and it was really great. Mike performed with the young men and Emily performed with the young women. Aloha!

Med School Party

On Friday we went to the med school party at the Children's Museum. Besides exploring the museum, there was plenty of laughing, dancing, seeing friends, and greeting the new students. It's crazy to think that we've been here for over a year and that Mike is officially a second year student. One year down. How many to go? We're not counting! We're just taking it all in and having a blast. We love Winston-Salem, we love Wake Forest, and we love being here together! Month long vacations apart are no longer allowed!

Remembering Machu Picchu

Mike returned this week from a month in Peru. One of the
highlights of the trip was, of course, Machu Picchu. The
pictures and stories remind me of the trip we took during
the summer of 2005. It was the most amazing place I've
ever been. It is easy to see why it was recently named
one of the new seven wonders of the world!

Best In-Laws Ever

I'm so lucky to have married into a family that I love. Mike's mom and stepdad stopped by this weekend on their way to visit the beautiful and historical sites of North Carolina and Virginia for an anniversary trip. They got a break from the Arizona heat, and I got company :) We spent the day together yesterday and then they were off this morning. Happy 10 years Tom & Cheryl!

Peru

Mike and his brother Matt are spending the month
in Peru and are having a great time so far! First,
they got to visit Mike's mission and some tourist
sites. Now, they are in Cusco where Matt is taking
spanish classes and doing some volunteer work
and Mike is working at a medical clinic. I am staying
busy working, taking the CPA exam, preparing for
girls camp, spending time with friends, and counting
down the days until Mike returns :)

Body Worlds

Yesterday Mike and I met Stacey in Charlotte. We went to see the Body Worlds exhibit, where we got to learn all we ever wanted about the human body... and then some.
