I'm so lucky to have married into a family that I love. Mike's mom and stepdad stopped by this weekend on their way to visit the beautiful and historical sites of North Carolina and Virginia for an anniversary trip. They got a break from the Arizona heat, and I got company :) We spent the day together yesterday and then they were off this morning. Happy 10 years Tom & Cheryl!

Peru

Mike and his brother Matt are spending the month
in Peru and are having a great time so far! First,
they got to visit Mike's mission and some tourist
sites. Now, they are in Cusco where Matt is taking
spanish classes and doing some volunteer work
and Mike is working at a medical clinic. I am staying
busy working, taking the CPA exam, preparing for
girls camp, spending time with friends, and counting
down the days until Mike returns :)

Stacey's Visit
Mike's sister Stacey works as a flight attendant and yesterday she had a 24 hour lay over in Charlotte, which is about 1 1/2 hours away from us. Even with no sleep, she was still super fun! We took her to see Wake Forest University and the medical school. We also went to Furnitureland South, the largest furniture showroom in the world! (Mike calls it the Disneyland of furniture.) We zipped right through, and still managed to take about 2 hours. You could really spend an entire day and not see everything. I can't wait until next weekend when she has another trip and we get to show her more of North Carolina!

Louisville Slugger
Earlier this month I spent a week in Louisville, Kentucky. It was my first time in Kentucky and my first overnight business trip since I moved to NC. My former job in AZ required about 50% travel, which was way too much for me. I didn't really mind this one trip to Kentucky, espcially since I don't anticipate much travel for work in my future. Besides, the city was beautiful and most importantly...
I got to see the huge Louisville Slugger!

Celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Evans!
We had a great time this weekend in Utah at Jason and Jessie's wedding. Congrats to the newlyweds!
Carys adored the bride and didn't want to leave her side.
